Should you no longer be able to take part in the 2026 Nedbank Gravel Burn you have the following options:

SUBSTITUTIONS

Email [email protected] with the details of the rider that you wish to transfer your entry to. Note that the transaction between you and the other rider is private, i.e. funds flow directly between you and the substitution rider.

Free substitutions close on 15 September. Any substitutions after 15 September attract a substitution fee of ZAR 1 500 / USD 100. Please email [email protected]

For substitutions after 15 September, we will do our best to update any personalised items to the new rider, but this cannot be guaranteed and a generic item might be provided instead.

CANCELLATION OF RACE ENTRY

To avoid cancellation fees, we recommend you do a substitution.

Should you wish to cancel your race entry instead, the below fees apply. Please note that fees for cancellation of motorhomes and other optional extras are in addition to fees for race entry cancellation:

• Before 1 May: ZAR 2 500 / USD 200 / or transfer your entry into 2027 (riders are liable for any difference in entry fee)
• From 1 May – 31 July: ZAR 10 000 / USD 750 / or transfer your entry into 2027 (riders are liable for any difference in entry fee)
• After 31 July: Cancellations and requests to transfer into 2027 received after 31 July are strictly only accepted if the entry can be resold. Should the cancellation be accepted the applicable fee is ZAR 10 000 / USD 750. Riders are liable for any difference in entry fee if granted a transfer into 2027. You can however do a private substitution (see above) until the day of registration.

We highly recommend that riders take out private travel insurance to cover any cancellation costs.

No refund will be payable if a rider’s entry is cancelled by the race organisers due to ineligibility under the race rules (e.g. being found guilty of a doping offence, not meeting the necessary age requirements, international riders purchasing a ZAR entry).

CANCELLATION OF OPTIONAL EXTRAS

The rules for the cancellation of optional extras apply regardless of whether you are only cancelling the optional extra, or in connection with cancelling your race entry.
